2. The Purpose of This Application

The Psalm Reading Club application provides a personalized and interactive experience for entertainment and spiritual reflection only. The reflections are generated by a generative AI. These outputs are designed to inspire self-reflection and should not be taken as theological, professional, or personal advice.

3. Data We Collect

We collect different information depending on whether you are signed in.

• For All Users: To generate your reflection, we temporarily process your chosen scripture passage and the thoughts you write in the text box.
• For Signed-In Users: If you create an account and sign in, we collect and store your reflection history to provide you with the "Your Reflection History" feature. This includes the scripture passage, the full conversation history with the AI, and the date of the reflection.

4. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used for the following purposes:

• To Generate Your Reflection: Your inputs are sent to a third-party Generative AI model (such as Google's Gemini) to create a unique, responsive reflection for you.
• To Display Your History: For signed-in users, we use your stored reflection data to display your personal history on the homepage, allowing you to revisit past conversations.

This app is non-commercial. There is no sponsoring partner, and your data is not used for any financial or lead-generation purposes.

5. Data Storage and Security

Our data storage practices are designed with your privacy in mind:

• If You Are Not Signed In: Your reflection data is ephemeral. It is used only for your current session and is not saved on our servers.
• If You Are Signed In: Your reflection history is stored in our secure Firebase Firestore database, linked to your user account. This allows you to access your history across different sessions and devices. You can manage your account through the user authentication system.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Use of this application is voluntary. If you choose to create an account, you consent to the storage of your reflection history as described in this policy. You can choose not to create an account if you do not want your history saved.

7. Children's Privacy

This service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect any personal data from children.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this policy will indicate when the latest revisions were made.
